Does a surron need to be registered

In the USA, Surron electric bikes, such as the Hyper Bee, Light Bee X, Ultra Bee, and Storm Bee, are classified as off-road vehicles and do not require registration for use on private property or designated off-road areas. For public road use, registration is typically required, and the bike must be modified to meet street-legal standards (e.g., adding headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and DOT-approved tires). Registration requirements vary by state; for example, California classifies Surrons as electric motorcycles needing DMV registration and a license plate, while other states may allow registration as a moped with fewer modifications. Always check with your local DMV for specific regulations, as non-compliance can lead to fines or impoundment. [Source: elec
